Why should I choose Abba Homeschool Academy for my high school child?
We offer your high school student a fully accredited diploma, accepted at colleges and universities, an excellent and proven curriculum, academic guidance and support, and promote critical thinking and leadership skills. We are able to place your child where he is academically, project the courses he will need for graduation, and maintain a transcript for him. Our lessons are self-instructional, presented in a thorough, step by step format, and our high school math and science courses are available with instructional videos to enhance learning and ensure that the student comprehends the material.
Will homeschool credits transfer into a high school or college in the future?
Yes, our credits are transferable into both high schools and colleges. In fact, many colleges and universities actively recruit home schoolers because of the student quality. Our diploma is an accredited diploma and accepted nation wide.
My child is ill/injured and unable to return to school. Can he enroll now and complete his high school requirements?
Yes. We will need his transcripts and a list of the classes he began this year. We will strive to continue him in the same courses and set up a plan for graduation so he will know exactly what he needs. He will be able to finish at his own pace and receive an accredited diploma. He will not need a GED.
In Middle School and High school do you offer writing help (grading and editing) if needed?
Grading and editing writing in the middle and higher grades is something that is normally offered on an as-needed basis. However, if you find for any reason you do need help in this area, we would be happy to assist you. Several of our staff have master’s degrees in secondary and higher education and have graded and edited many papers!
We are fully accredited through the National Association of Private Schools (NAPS). Our High School program is a college preparatory program which means our seniors graduate with 25 credit hours, which is 4-6 credits more than most High School programs. Students graduating from High School programs with fewer credits have had to take remedial courses their first year in college. We are also an Honors Program, so our seniors will graduate with a high GPA, making acceptance into college easier.
