What is included in the tuition? Will I have to buy a lot of extras to be able to complete the curriculum?
Your tuition covers the following: core subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science & History/Geography; electives of Bible and Physical Education. We're the only academy that also includes, at no additional charge, quarterly ABBA Project Boxes (matched to Science with all materials included) and Living Books (Matched to History/Geography), and a Yearly Imagination Station (for elementary students). Another thing that makes our academy different is that we allow our parents to mix and match their core subjects from among our selection of well-known curriculum. We do our best to let our parents know the costs involved ahead of time. We try to have no hidden costs, however, parents are welcome to order extra electives or rent certain videos.
We also offer free Diagnostic Testing to all parents wanting to know how their children are doing academically. If the tests show that the student is far enough behind in a subject, the parent will usually want the child to get caught up in that subject. That is where the paces needed to fill in any learning gaps comes in. Since this is in addition to a full year curriculum, we do charge our costs for that. Most students don't need to do this though. If a student tests far enough behind in, say math, then most parents will simply have their children begin their math at that level, while continuing on in their current grade level in their other subjects. There is no additional charge for doing this.
